Austin is the state capital of Texas, an inland city bordering the Hill Country region. Home to the University of Texas flagship campus, Austin is known for its eclectic live-music scene centered around country, blues and rock. Its many parks and lakes are popular for hiking, biking, swimming and boating. South of the city, Formula One’s Circuit of the Americas raceway has hosted the United States Grand Prix.

The Mexican business community has been exponentially growing for the last decade and AEM Austin was founded in 2013 by a group of business owners looking to help each other to grow their bi-national businesses. AEM Austin has a very active membership with an average of 8-10 events per year. that range from private opera performances, Lunch-n-Learn sessions and networking events. The Texas-Mexico Summit is also organized by this Chapter in Austin every year and members of all the other AEM chapters come together with other Texas business owners, entrepreneurs, innovators, community leaders, C-level executives, government representatives, as well as high ranking government ofi cials, in the capital of the lone star state for a comprehensive event focused on strengthening business relations, trade, NAFTA, access to capital, and business development in order to promote business growth in the great state of Texas.
